HIGHLIGHTS

 

  1. Yield of 10-year Indonesia Government Bonds is 7.103% on September 09, 2026, vs 7.113% the day before. Meanwhile, the 10-year US Treasury yield rose by 3 bps to 4.83% yesterday.
  2. Government bonds volume was IDR54.58 trillion, and it was dominated by medium term (5-15 years). It was declined than the previous day transaction of IDR60.27 trillion. The volume higher than its YTD average of IDR49.43 trillion. While the outright transaction reached IDR21.81 trilion increased from the previous day's transaction which amount to IDR15.70 trilion.
  3. Meanwhile, the total volume of corporate bonds was recorded at IDR6,873 billion, dominated by short term (< 5 years). The transaction volume fell compared to the previous day's volume of IDR7,851 billion. The volume higher compared to this year's average of IDR3,313 billion. Meanwhile, outright transaction recorded at IDR6,871 billion fell from the previous day's transaction of IDR7,851 billion.
  4. The Rupiah exchange rate against the US Dollar strengthened by 0.66% to IDR17,513 from IDR17,630 while the JCI dropped -0.12% from 6,686 to 6,678. Then Brent was up from 97.92 to 100.43 USD per barrel, while WTI Cushing Crude Oil Spot price increased from 93.03 to 94.95 USD per barrel.

 

DOMESTIC UPDATES

 

  1. Indonesia’s consumer confidence index rose to 118.5 in Aug-26 from 116.8 in July, marking its first increase in four months. The improvement was broad-based, with current economic conditions rising 1.5 points to 109.4, while expectations increased to 127.6. Sentiment toward durable goods purchases and job availability also strengthened. However, the recovery remained uneven across income groups. Lower-income households remained pessimistic on current job availability and durable goods purchases, while the >IDR5mn group recorded the highest confidence at 123.9. Meanwhile, the share of income allocated to consumption increased to 74.2% from 72.7%, while savings fell to 15.8% from 16.8%, suggesting stronger spending but limited improvement in household financial buffers.
