HIGHLIGHTS

 

  1. The yield on the 10-year Indonesia Government Bond declined to 7.226% on 10 August 2026, from 7.258% in the previous trading session. Meanwhile, the 10-year US Treasury yield rose by 7 bps to 4.72% yesterday.
  2. Trading activity in the government bond market totaled IDR37.60 trillion, down from IDR52.61 trillion in the previous session, with transactions primarily concentrated in medium-tenor bonds (5–15 years). Trading volume was also below the year-to-date (YTD) daily average of IDR49.43 trillion. Meanwhile, outright transactions increased to IDR16.60 trillion, compared with IDR14.67 trillion in the prior trading session.
  3. In the corporate bond market, total trading volume edged down to IDR7.13 trillion from IDR7.14 trillion in the previous session, with activity continuing to be dominated by short-tenor bonds (less than five years). Despite the marginal decline, trading volume remained well above the YTD daily average of IDR3.31 trillion. Outright transactions decreased slightly to IDR7.08 trillion, from IDR7.14 trillion in the previous session.
  4. In the currency market, the Indonesian Rupiah appreciated by 0.72% against the US Dollar to IDR17,762/USD, from IDR17,890/USD in the previous session. Meanwhile, the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) declined 0.69%, closing at 6,365 from 6,410. In the commodity market, Brent crude rose to USD84.51 per barrel from USD83.55, while WTI Cushing Crude Oil Spot increased to USD79.04 per barrel from USD78.18.

 

DOMESTIC UPDATES

 

  1. Government Sukuk Auction. The Government of Indonesia is scheduled to conduct an auction of Government Sharia Securities (Surat Berharga Syariah Negara/SBSN) on Tuesday, 11 August 2026, as part of its ongoing efforts to finance the 2026 State Budget (APBN). The auction will offer the following series: SPNS08092026 (Reopening), SPNS03022027 (Reopening), SPNS12042027 (Reopening), PBS030 (Reopening), PBS040 (Reopening), PBSG002 (Reopening), PBS034 (Reopening), and PBS038 (Reopening). The Government has set an indicative issuance target of IDR10 trillion for the auction. BRI Danareksa Sekuritas estimates that total incoming bids in the upcoming auction could reach IDR20–30tn, with an expected bid-to-cover ratio of 1.72x–2.03x. (MoF, BRIDS Estimate)
  2. Indonesia’s Consumer Confidence Index fell for a third straight month to 116.8 in July from 117.8, reflecting weaker current conditions and growing pressure on middle-income households. The Current Economic Conditions Index declined to 107.9 from 109.2, while durable goods purchases fell to 104.1. Pressure was sharpest among households spending Rp3.1–4.0mn/month, whose confidence dropped 4.9pts to 112.2 and durable-goods index fell 8.5pts to 96.2. Meanwhile, debt installments rose to 10.5% of income from 10.0%, pointing to more cautious household spending. (Bank Indonesia)
